Slovenski How to Extend the Lifespan of Your Anchoring Rig's Drill Rods and Bits?
Drill rods and drill bits are core vulnerable parts of anchoring rigs, bearing complex forces such as impact, torsion, friction and extrusion during anchoring drilling. Short service life and frequent replacement increase construction costs and delay progress. Standardized operation, scientific parameter matching and refined maintenance can effectively extend their service life.
Standard drilling operation is the primary guarantee. Avoid violent drilling, blind pressurization and eccentric drilling. Keep the drill rod vertical and stable during operation to reduce unilateral friction and torsion fatigue. According to rock and soil hardness, reasonably match drilling pressure and rotating speed to avoid overload operation of drill rods and excessive impact wear of drill bits. Reduce frequent start-stop and sudden speed change to avoid instantaneous torque impact on drill rod structures.
Strengthen daily maintenance and protection. Before use, check drill rods for bending, crack and thread wear, and eliminate unqualified products. Clean drill rod threads and drill bit surface residues after each use, apply anti-rust lubricant to thread parts to prevent rust and thread clamping. During drilling, ensure sufficient cooling and slag discharging fluid to reduce tool temperature and abrasive wear. Classify and store standby drill rods and bits to avoid collision, extrusion and damp rust. Timely replace severely worn and deformed tools to ensure overall matching performance and maximize the service life of anchoring drilling tools.
