Fault Emergency Treatment Methods for Mining Drilling Rigs

Mining drilling rigs are prone to sudden faults such as hydraulic pressure failure, drilling jamming, power shutdown, and slag discharge blockage in complex underground and open-pit mining environments. Standardized emergency treatment can quickly restore construction and avoid safety accidents and equipment damage.

For hydraulic system faults including insufficient pressure and pipeline leakage, immediately stop the drilling operation, cut off the power supply, check pipeline joints and sealing rings, replace damaged sealing components, and tighten loose joints; if the hydraulic pump fails to build pressure, inspect the oil circuit blockage and pump body wear, clean the oil filter and pipeline, and replace worn pump core parts. For drilling jamming faults caused by hard rock clamping and slag accumulation, adopt low-speed reverse rotation and slow feeding release methods, avoid forced high-power operation leading to drill rod breakage; for severe jamming, lift the drill rod slightly, inject high-pressure flushing water to clean residual rock slag, and release the jam after reducing stratum extrusion pressure.

For sudden power shutdown faults, immediately start the emergency power supply, check explosion-proof power distribution cabinets and line faults, eliminate short circuits and line aging problems, and resume operation after confirming safe circuit conditions. For drill hole blockage and poor slag discharge faults, increase flushing water pressure and flow, adopt reciprocating drill rod movement to clean hole slag, and prevent hole wall collapse caused by long-term blockage. For overheating faults of motors and hydraulic systems, stop operation for cooling, check heat dissipation device failure and overload operation problems, and adjust construction parameters after temperature returns to normal. After emergency fault disposal, conduct a comprehensive equipment inspection, record fault causes and treatment measures, and carry out targeted maintenance to avoid repeated faults. Standard emergency treatment processes ensure the safety of personnel and equipment and minimize construction downtime losses.
