Key Aspects to Note When Drilling with a Multi-functional Anchoring Drilling Rig

The drilling process of a multi-functional anchoring drilling rig employs the rotary drilling method with water pressure for hole formation. Before drilling, the design, supervision, geological, and construction teams should determine the hole locations based on the on-site geological conditions. The following aspects should be noted during drilling:

(1) After the multi-functional anchoring drilling rig is positioned, the vertical, horizontal, and angular deviations of the hole must be adjusted according to the design requirements, ensuring it is perpendicular to the retaining wall.

(2) The hole wall must be straight and smooth to facilitate the installation of tension bars and grouting.

(3) To maximize the anchoring effect of the anchored section, the hole wall must not collapse or loosen, as this could affect the installation of tension bars and the load-bearing capacity of the ground anchor cables.

(4) multi-functional anchoring drilling rigThe use of bentonite circulating slurry for wall protection is prohibited during drilling to avoid the formation of a mud cake on the hole wall, which would reduce load-bearing capacity.

(5) Permissible drilling deviations: horizontal deviation 50mm, vertical deviation 20mm, angular deviation 0.5 degrees.

When drilling the anchored section, replace the drill bit with a hydraulic reaming bit to expand the hole diameter using water jet pressure.
